The International Hellenic University proudly hosts the 1st Doctoral Student Symposium in Management, Marketing & Tourism – DSSMMT22. Keeping in mind the current circumstances, the event will take place in hybrid form, offering the possibility for both live in-person and online attendance. The Symposium will be held at the premises of the International Hellenic University from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th May 2022.
The 1st Doctoral Symposium in IHU Doctoral Students Symposium in Management, Marketinng and Tourism on 13 May 2022 offers an opportunity for PhD candidates to explore and develop research interests in an interdisciplinary workshop, under the guidance of several well-known senior scholars. During the Doctoral Symposium, the participants will share their current dissertation work with others, exchange views and receive feedback.
The aim is to provide an opportunity for doctoral students to:
- Meet other students and supervisors to extend their network.
- Present and discuss their own work and the work of others.
- Get perspectives from scholars outside their own institution.
- Promote collaborative research and elaborate future research directions.
It should be noted that the event will take place in a mixed-approach model, using both web conferencing software as well as live sessions.

Call for Papers
Submission of Abstracts (between 500 & 700 words, plus main references): DATE: 30th of March 2022.

Evaluation of abstracts and communication with authors: DATE: 5th of April 2022.
Submitted abstracts should be relevant with the overall symposium theme objectives and at least one of the conference sub-themes. It should be written in English or Greek and should be submitted in time (see below for “important dates”). All contributions must be original (i.e. not been published elsewhere), follow academic writing, structure and methodology. Submissions will be blind refereed by at least two anonymous reviewers who will decide if the proposed abstracts will be accepted or not.
LANGUAGE: Abstracts could be submitted in Greek or English language.
