Stefanos Karakolias is an academic scholar in the Department of Organisation Management, Marketing and Tourism of IHU, specialised in Financial Management and Accounting, with an emphasis on those of healthcare. He participates as an adjunct lecturer in the undergraduate program (since 2021) as well as in the inter-departmental postgraduate program in Management of Health and Welfare Units (since 2019).
He has 6+ years of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience at both local (mainly) and universities abroad, while he has also participated in various research projects on financial management of health services and healthcare units management. The aforementioned activities also resulted in publishing 15 research articles, 4 chapters in books and 11 conference announcements.
In the past, he had been employed as a financial consultant, director of finance, auditor and board member in private and public organizations, holding the relevant professional certifications at the same time.
