Thessaloniki hosting the Final International “Mentoring Collaboratory” Event of the INTERSMARTS Project 1–2 October 2025 | Thessaloniki, Greece

As the INTERSMARTS project approaches its completion, the city of Thessaloniki will host the Final International Mentoring Collaboratory, taking place on 1–2 October 2025.

This two-day international event is open to the public, targeting businesses, professionals, and stakeholders in the tourism sector, both from Greece and the partner countries of the project. The event will focus on smart and sustainable tourism development, innovation, and blue economy practices.

The event marks the culmination of a months-long national mentoring process that was implemented in all partner countries – Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Moldova. It aims to present the key outcomes, foster knowledge exchange, and strengthen future transnational cooperation.

The programme will include:

  • Presentation of best practices and innovative tools
  • Thematic workshops and interactive sessions
  • Policy dialogues and strategic planning
  • Networking and peer-learning opportunities

The Final Mentoring Collaboratory aspires to highlight mentoring as a powerful tool for empowering innovation and advancing sustainable tourism transformation, while reinforcing trust and collaboration among stakeholders across the Black Sea Basin.

INTERSMARTS – Interdisciplinary Solutions for Smart Sustainable Tourism and Services for Blue Growth in the Black Sea Basin (BSB00332) is funded by the ENI CBC Black Sea Basin Programme 2014–2020. The project brings together partners from Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Moldova, with the mission to enhance sustainability and innovation in tourism and related services in the Black Sea Basin through interdisciplinary cooperation, digital tools, applied research, and collaborative networks.
