Soultana (Tania) Kapiki is a Professor at the Department of Organisations Management, Marketing and Tourism, International Hellenic University. She has Degrees in Management of Tourism Enterprises as well as in Business Administration, a Master’s Degree in Economics and a PhD in Management of Lodging Operations.
She is the author / editor of various books in Greek and English, and scientific articles published in international journals and conference proceedings.
She participated as an expert in the certification of the approved proposals in the framework of the action “Support for Research Fellowships” (commissioned by the General Secretariat for Research & Technology, 2012 – 2017). She is also a member of scientific committees of various international conferences and a reviewer in international journals.
She has contributed to the creation and management of the educational program at MSc in Tourism & Hospitality Management of the Tbilisi State University, Georgia (2012) and she is responsible for the development of undergraduate and postgraduate education at the Tashkent State University of Economics (TSUE), Department of Tourism and Hotel Management (TSUE), Uzbekistan. At the same university (TSUE) she is an external evaluator/ reviewer of postgraduate and doctoral theses.
Since 2004 she has been is the coordinator of a large number of international programs such as ALFA, LIFE-Environment, ERASMUS MUNDUS, TEMPUS and ERASMUS +.
Her research interests include the sustainable management of hotel and educational units, as well as the quality development of tourism and of health / welfare units.
Administrative activity:
-Responsible for the evaluation and quality assurance of the Master’s Program in Management of Tourism Enterprises & Organizations (IHU).
-Member of the Coordinating Committee of the Master’s Programs in Management of Tourism Enterprises & Organizations, and Management & Organization of Educational Units.
-Scientific project manager of SMARTCITY: Innovative Approach Towards a Master Program on Smart Cities Technologies (2018-2021) for Russia, Mongolia and Kazakhstan.
